John Joseph Forsthoefel, age 54 of Anderson Twp., passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Glioblastoma surrounded by his loving family and friends.
John was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Paul and Anna Mae "Pat" Forsthoefel. He was the loving husband of Julie Forsthoefel and devoted father of Annie (Sean) Corcoran, Adam (Caitlin), Emily, and Matt Forsthoefel. John was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters including Barb Pennucci, David and Arlene Forsthoefel, Marilyn and Robert Portune, Bill and Marge Forsthoefel, Tom and Joan Forsthoefel, Susan and John Mullan, Anne and Greg Callahan, Mark and Nancy Forsthoefel, John is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Mary Jo and Tom Ebner, his brother-in-law, Dave and Cindy Ebner, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. He will be joined in heaven with his parents and beloved brother, Mark.
John graduated from the University of Dayton with both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in electrical engineering. He was a highly respected lead engineer at L3 Communications in Mason, Ohio for over 30 years, where many looked up to him for guidance.

Julie Forsthoefel Raleigh, age 64, of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Julie was born in Canton, Ohio.
Julie leaves behind her parents, Tom and MaryJo Ebner; her husband, Patrick Raleigh; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Cindy Ebner; four children, Annie Corcoran (Sean), Adam Forsthoefel (Caitlin), Emily Brown (Billy), and Matt Forsthoefel (Maria); two stepchildren, Ben Raleigh (April) and Sarah Pruitt (Michael); 16 grandchildren; and countless dear friends. She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Forsthoefel.
For 23 years, Julie taught Kindergarten and First Grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary, bringing faith, kindness, and joy to her students. Teaching was her calling, and the children and families she touched will forever remember her love and encouragement.
Known as "Sunshine Julie," she brightened every room with her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit. She made everyone feel seen, loved, and valued. Above all, Julie cherished her role as a mother and "Juju". She was deeply devoted to her children and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.
